There is more and more research being done into meditation. Research scientists in many countries are now exploring the physical, mental and emotional benefits of meditation.
For instance, it has been researched and proven that meditation really does have a positive effect on your bodies immune system. Research has also shown that meditation will greatly reduce anxiety, stress, depression and other mental health conditions.
Meditation researchers have also proven, time and time again, that if you can get children to meditate, they will perform much better in school, there exam grades will be much better than non meditators, they are much less disruptive and are generally much happier children.
Sadly, meditation can not be put in a pill, so the drug companies are not interested in research into meditation, promoting meditation or anything else to do with meditation. I can't really blame them. There job is to make as much money as possible by selling chemicals. If someone can achieve better results without taking chemicals, or drugs, better results with no side effects and no addictions, then it is not really in the drug companies interests to research meditation. Is it?
But, whilst we are on the subject of meditation research, science and proof, I have the following challenge to the meditation research science community.
If you are a Meditation Research Scientist, then please explore the Advanced Meditation Techniques, (link at the top of this page), and see what you discover. Then share your results with the world.
