According to one on-line dictionary, Philosophy is: the rational investigation of the truths and principles of being, knowledge, or conduct.
Ok, so what has that got to do with meditation?
A great deal.
You see, if you use the advanced meditation techniques, you will begin to become aware of many more aspects of your being than you are currently aware of.
Your mind, your train of thoughts, is a reactive, ongoing and repetitive process. As such, it will have little information, and even less of an understanding of the new discoveries that you are making, on a regular basis, as you meditate.
But if the thought of 'studying' philosophy scares you a little, I wouldn't worry.
Most of the philosophers I know, have absolutely no idea of the existence of the dimensions which you are going to explore within.
If you described to them the inner light which you sit and gaze at within, they will assume you are visualising or fantasizing.
If you tried to describe to them exactly what the incredible inner sound is like, again they will assume you are making it up.
If you try and describe to a philosopher, your discovery of a place inside you, that has no beginning, no middle and no ending, a place where you simply go on forever, then the average philosopher will have no idea what you are talking about.
Because the average philosopher only works with ideas and beliefs.
The difference is, that you will be experiencing a living adventure, and the philosher will be recanting meaningless empty words.
When you invite them to suck it and see, they cling onto their old ideas and beliefs, and flee before the idea of their intellectual identity can be challenged any further.
You will find that the only other people who will know what you are talking about are fellow meditators.
Specifically, people who meditate using these advanced meditation techniques. Details of these techniques can be found via the link at the top of this page.
There are very few of us around. However, modern technology has made it possible for you to talk to anyone on the planet, wherever they are, virtually free of charge. The internet, emails, skype and even the humble telephone, now mean that you can always speak to a friend about your meditation, your understanding and your philosophy.
You are never alone.
