Mindfulness Meditation

According to Wikipedia, mindfulness meditation is:

Mindfulness is a mental state, characterized by concentrated awareness of one's thoughts, actions or motivations. Mindfulness (Pali: Sati; Sanskrit: smṛti स्मृति) plays a central role in the teaching of the Buddha where it is affirmed that "correct" or "right" mindfulness (Pali:sammā-sati; Sanskrit samyak-smṛti) is an essential factor in the path to enlightenment and liberation. It is the seventh element of the Noble Eightfold Path, the practice of which is held in the tradition to engender insight and wisdom (Sanskrit: prajñā). The Satipatthana Sutta is one of the foremost early texts dealing with mindfulness in a meditative context. Mindfulness techniques are increasingly being employed in Western psychology to help alleviate a variety of conditions.

I know from experience that mindfulness meditation can have a very positive effect on the mental and emotional state of the meditator. If that is what you are seeking, then it is worth looking at to see if it suits you.

What I take issue with is this. The notion that there is a 'correct' way of thinking, and the idea that a single follower of Buddhism has ever realised their Enlightenment. I have never met a single person, however, I am not saying that it is impossible, just that there are nearly 400 million of them, and I have never met an Enlightened Buddhist.
