There are many meditation techniques, and almost all have the following in common.
The meditation technique will have a stilling effect on your mind, your body and your emotions.
Anything else is not meditation. It is something else.
In the process of becoming stiller, you will experience many benefits.
Physically, you will begin to feel much calmer and have more energy available.
Mentally, you will become much less stressed.
Your ability to perceive things and events in your life, will become much more clearer and focussed. This will happen naturally over a period of time.
Emotionally, you will generally be happier
and less effected by the day to day turmoil that goes on around you on a daily basis.
