The positive effects of meditation vary from person to person, and they depend greatly on the individuals current circumstances. For instance, your physical condition, your current stress levels, your emotional state, all these things impact on the positive effects of meditation that you may experience in the short term.
However, in the longer term, certain patterns emerge. In general, you will become more able to cope with the stress of dealing with lifes problems. You are more likely to be free from anxiety.Your ability to concentrate will be greatly enhanced, as such, you will feel more in control of your life and less likely to feel overwhelmed by lifes events. These are just some of the positive effects that you may notice.
On a more subtle level, you will experience even greater positive effects of meditation. As you continue to meditate, you will notice or become aware of, increasingly deeper aspects to your self, your 'being'.
These aspects will become a familiar part of your life. Because these aspects are not normally involved in your day to day life, they are free from stress, anxiety, fear, panic, depression and many other negative aspects of your daily life.
There are of course the physical positive effects of meditation, such as better digestion, improved immune function and lower blood pressure. These effects are not anecdotal, they have been well documented.
