Meditation Healing

Some people attempt to use meditation for healing themselves, and others. They start to meditate, they 'connect' with 'the healing energy', then they direct it, either to a specific ailment that they are personally experiencing, or, to another persons specific health issue.

The way I look at meditation healing is this. Whilst it may or may not be possible to heal with meditation, it is a distraction to the real potential use of meditation. Just as a brain surgeon can use a scalpel to save someones life, he could also use the same scalpel to remove the dirt from the sole of his shoe. It is the same scalpel, only one use of the scalpel is of far more value than the other.

I am not being uncaring, because in the past, I too have used meditation for healing purposes. I am just pointing out that, if you have limited time, then the greatest use that you can make of your meditation, is to use it to propel you on your journey inward, your journey of self discovery.

Time is precious. We all know that we are going to die, yet we behave as if we are going to live forever. At least, we behave as if we know when we are going to die. Well, we don't. Get on with your journey of self discovery whilst you still have the chance.

Once you have completed your journey, then you will have the luxuary of using meditation for healing.

The greatest healing benefit that you can get from meditation, is to learn how to meditate for yourself.
