The health benefits of meditation seem to effect every single aspect of your physical body, your mental body (mind) and your emotional body.
I have no desire to mislead you or make false claims, but if the anecdotal evidence is to be believed, meditation is an amazing tonic that you cannot afford to ignore. Whilst I have personal experience of some of these health benefits, and I have witnessed many others experience a dramatic improvement in their health, I have not personally witnessed all the health benefits that I mention on this page.
As far as the physical body goes, if you use meditation in conjunction with yoga postures, or exercises, then the health benefits of meditation will permeate every level of your being.
Your blood flow will improve, your lymph system will be emptied and cleansed, your digestive system will be squeezed and vitalised, your muscular system will be nourished with oxygen rich blood, your power, strength, vitality and stamina will all improve. Your immune system will funxction much more efficiently. These are just some of the health benefits of meditation and yoga exercises.
As for the health benefits of meditation alone, these too are amazing. Your blood pressure will normalise, your stress levels will reduce, your digestive system will perform much more effectively, your whole nervous system will become less alert, you will calm down, you will feel so much better.
And how do we quantify the health benefits of meditation on the mind of the meditator? It is difficult. All we can do is ask them if they have noticed any positive difference since they started meditating. The answer is a unannimous "Yes".
